Women

Rugby Club Wageningen was the first club in the Netherlands to have a women's team! In 1975, during the 1st lustrum of the club, the first official women's game in the Netherlands was played between the ladies of Wageningen and Eindhoven. Currently our team plays the 1st division, and together with Eindhoven we have a team called the Purple Lions in the 3rd division. We are known for our welcoming attitude, sportsmanship and enthusiastic participation in the 3rd half. 

Men

The men's team started in 1970 and has grown into a mix of students, citizens and real Wageningers. Since the championship in 2014 in the fourth division, the team have been playing in the top of the third division for years with the ambition to always go for the highest achievable. This year, we have a second team together with Rugby Club Nieuwegein and the Pink Panthers.

Men Social

From the 2022-2023 season, Rugby Club Wageningen participates with a team in the new social competition to offer something to those who would like to play a game every now and then. The social competition is a competition that should not be called one, with few fixed rules except a mandatory third half.

Friday Night Touch

Een initiatief van een aantal oud-spelers van Rugby Club Wageningen: rugby zonder fysiek contact, maar met teamspirit en gezelligheid! Voor mannen, vrouwen, rugby'ers van alle leeftijden, ouders van jeugdspelers of spelers die herstellen van een blessure. De inloop is iedere vrijdagavond om 19.30, de warming up begint 20.00 en na afloop is er natuurlijk een derde helft in het clubhuis.

Jeugd

Rugby Club Wageningen heeft jeugdleden vanaf 4 jaar oud. De Guppen (4-5 jaar) trainen elke zaterdagochtend op de Zoom. De Turven, Benjamins en Mini's (6-11) trainen door de week en spelen op zaterdag wedstrijden in de regio; sinds 2021 zijn er ook trainingen in Ede. Ons eigen Cubs-team en de clusterteams van de Junioren en Colts (12-17) spelen in de landelijke competitie.
