Rugby in Wageningen
and Ede

Welcome to
Rugby Club Wageningen

Anyone can play rugby! Men and women, big and tall, or small and fast – a rugby team needs all kinds of players. Rugby Club Wageningen is an open, international, and social rugby club. Since 1970, we have organized both competitive and social rugby for adults, and we have a thriving youth department with over 125 members. Since 2021, we have also been offering training sessions for youth in Ede.

If you have played rugby before, feel free to drop by for a regular training session! If you are not yet familiar with rugby, we regularly organize introductory courses to get to know the game.

Interested? Use the buttons above for more information about trial sessions, or contact intro@rcwageningen.nl (adults) or jeugdzaken@rcwageningen.nl (youth).

Rugby Club Wageningen Where players of all ages enjoy the game and the culture of rugby

Youth
Rugby

Rugby is a great sport for young children. For both boys and girls: all youth teams are mixed. Young children love to roughhouse, and there is more than enough room for that in rugby. It is not for nothing that rugby is the fastest-growing sport in the Netherlands. Rugby Club Wageningen has a large, lively youth department. Since 2021, training sessions have also been offered in Ede (the Hoekelumse Eng) for players up to 12 years old.

Senior
Rugby

Seniors are rugby players aged 18 and up, with or without experience. You can join any of the senior teams at any level. Rugby is a complete sport that combines strength, endurance, and strategy, with a strong focus on the core values of respect, discipline, and camaraderie, both on and off the field. New players without experience can participate in an introductory period twice a year (autumn and spring).

Touch
Rugby

This initiative comes from a number of former RCW players. They recently stopped playing rugby because the physical side of the game was causing too many injuries. After they stopped, they missed the rugby, the team spirit, and the social atmosphere at the club. That is why they took up the idea of playing touch rugby on Friday evenings.
