T1 (non-contact) rugby / Touch

Friday Night Touch was born a few years ago out of pure rugby nostalgia. A group of former players missed the pitch, the teamwork, and the club nights. Since then, that small group has grown into a colorful collection of enthusiasts. Every Friday, a lively mix of men and women, young and not-so-young, experienced players, and curious newcomers are ready to see out the week with a rugby ball.

Usually, there are enough of us to form two full teams and play a great match.

Does this sound like something for you?

If the answer to any of these questions is ‘yes’, you probably already belong:

  • Did you start liking rugby, but only realized it a bit later in life?
  • Do you already play rugby and simply crave more?
  • Do you love the game but no longer need the physical intensity?
  • Are you dealing with an injury but still want to keep playing in a responsible way?

Then Friday Night Touch is waiting for you. We play without contact and with simple rules, making it easy for anyone to join in. Doors open every Friday at 7:30 PM. After a quick coffee to start, we head onto the pitch at 8:00 PM for an energetic hour. And yes, the third half always follows in the clubhouse.

Every first Friday of the month, we organize the FNT Academy. There, we dive into basic skills, rules, and smart tactics so you can join in quickly.

Since 2025, we have been playing according to T1 rules. These are a perfect fit for our group: they feel familiar to those who know rugby union, and the rules are surprisingly easy to pick up.

We regularly play friendly matches against clubs from the region or take part in national tournaments. Once a year, we go bigger and head across the border for a weekend of international rugby and plenty of socializing.
