Op 28 oktober 2025 speelde het clusterteam Colts van Rugby Club Wageningen en Wasps Nijmegen een bijzondere vriendschappelijke wedstrijd tegen het Ealing Trailfinders Colts team uit Londen.
Onze spelers gaven alles en hielden lang stand tegen het sterke Engelse team, maar moesten uiteindelijk met 0–42 hun meerdere erkennen. Ondanks de uitslag was het een mooie en leerzame ervaring – een wedstrijd vol inzet, sportiviteit en internationale rugbyvibes!
On October 28, 2025, the Colts cluster team of Rugby Club Wageningen and Wasps Nijmegen played a special friendly match against the Ealing Trailfinders Colts team from London.
Our players gave it their all and held their ground for a long time against the strong English side, but eventually had to concede defeat with a 0–42 scoreline. Despite the result, it was a great and valuable experience — a match full of effort, sportsmanship, and international rugby spirit!
Op zaterdag 1 november stond er weer een mooie wedstrijd op het programma voor het clusterteam Colts van Rugby Club Wageningen en Wasps Nijmegen.
Onze tegenstander van de dag: CL Duuvelse Wild Pigs CO 1.
De wedstrijd vond plaats in het mooie Doetinchem. Tijdens de warming-up werden we flink natgeregend, maar gelukkig viel het tijdens de wedstrijd zelf mee met de regen.
🔥 Sterke eerste helft
De Colts begonnen de wedstrijd overtuigend: met meerdere try’s en een solide verdediging stond het halverwege 0–17 in ons voordeel. In de tweede helft kwam de tegenstander beter in hun spel en wisten zij één try te scoren. Toch hielden wij stand, scoorden zelf nog een try, en brachten de eindstand op een verdiende 7–22 winst!
🏅 Man of the Match
De titel Man of the Match ging deze keer naar Dirk, die met zijn inzet en spelinzicht een belangrijke bijdrage leverde aan de overwinning. Gefeliciteerd!
🚀 Onverslaanbaar – en gepromoveerd!
Met deze uitslag hebben wij alle wedstrijden in deze competitie gewonnen. Dat betekent dat het team promoveert naar een hoger niveau — een prachtige beloning voor het harde werk, de teamspirit en de constante inzet van iedereen.

Last Saturday, November 1st, another exciting match was on the schedule for the Colts cluster team of Rugby Club Wageningen and Wasps Nijmegen.
Our opponent of the day: CL Duuvelse Wild Pigs CO 1.
The match took place in beautiful Doetinchem. During the warm-up, we got thoroughly soaked by rain, but fortunately, the weather improved during the game itself.
🔥 Strong first half
The Colts started the match convincingly: with several tries and solid defense, the score was 0–17 in our favor at halftime. In the second half, the opponents improved their play and managed to score one try. Still, we held strong, scored another try ourselves, and secured a well-deserved 7–22 victory.

This time, the Man of the Match award went to Dirk, who made a key contribution to the victory with his commitment and game sense. Congratulations!

With this result, we have won all matches in this league, which means the team is promoted to a higher level — a fantastic reward for everyone’s hard work, team spirit, and constant effort.
