Op 13 december 2025 speelden de Colts van Wageningen/Wasps hun wedstrijd thuis in Wageningen tegen CL Cas/Alkmaar CO 1. Het werd een lastige wedstrijd tegen een sterke tegenstander, maar eentje waarin het team tot het einde bleef vechten.
⏱️ Spannende eerste helft
De eerste helft verliep spannend en werd met veel inzet gespeeld. Ondanks het harde werken en meerdere momenten waarop een score dichtbij leek, gingen de Colts met een 0–19 achterstand de rust in. Het spelbeeld gaf echter vertrouwen: het team bleef georganiseerd en liet zien mee te kunnen met het tempo van de tegenstander.
🔄 Stroevere tweede helft
Na rust werd het spel moeizamer. Door veel gemiste tackles kreeg de tegenstander meer ruimte en wist die regelmatig te scoren. Toch wisten de Colts zich na ongeveer tien minuten te belonen met een try voor Wageningen/Wasps. De conversie werd helaas gemist, waardoor de stand op 5 punten bleef.
💪 Blijven knokken
Ondanks de oplopende score bleef het team inzet tonen en doorgaan tot het laatste fluitsignaal. Slordigheden aan onze kant werden door de tegenstander hard afgestraft, wat uiteindelijk resulteerde in een 5–74 eindstand.
🔍 Vooruitkijken
De uitslag is duidelijk, maar de wedstrijd biedt ook leerpunten. De inzet en vechtlust waren er, en daar kan in de komende trainingen en wedstrijden verder op worden gebouwd.

Colts show commitment against CL Cas/Alkmaar CO 1
On December 13th, 2025, the Wageningen/Wasps Colts played their home match in Wageningen against CL Cas/Alkmaar CO 1. It proved to be a challenging game against a strong opponent, but one in which the team kept fighting until the very end.
⏱️ Tense first half
The first half was closely contested and played with great commitment. Despite the hard work and several moments where a score seemed within reach, the Colts went into halftime trailing 0–19. Nevertheless, the overall picture was encouraging: the team remained well organized and showed they could match the opponent’s tempo.
🔄 More difficult second half
After the break, the game became tougher. Missed tackles gave the opposition more space, allowing them to score repeatedly. Still, after about ten minutes, the Colts managed to reward themselves with a try for Wageningen/Wasps. Unfortunately, the conversion was missed, leaving the score at five points.
💪 Fighting to the end
Despite the growing scoreline, the team continued to show commitment and battled on until the final whistle. Mistakes on our side were punished ruthlessly by the opposition, which eventually resulted in a 5–74 final score.
🔍 Looking ahead
The scoreline is clear, but the match also provided important learning moments. The effort and fighting spirit were there, and these are qualities the team can continue to build on in training and upcoming matches.
