In het seizoen 2024-2025 viert Rugby Club Wageningen haar lustrum. Onze club bestaat 55 jaar, maar daarnaast vieren we ook het 50-jarig jubileum van het damesteam (dat destijds het begin markeerde van het damesrugby in Nederland!). Daarom wijken we dit jaar af van de traditie door het Fialar-toernooi niet op de laatste zondag van augustus te houden, maar op de eerste zondag van september, samen met de Landelijke Opwarmdag Dames én een Girls Rugby Festival.
Zoals gebruikelijk staat het 15-a-side Fialar-toernooi open voor herenteams uit de 2e, 3e en 4e divisie; voor meer informatie over dit toernooi, klik hier. Daarnaast kunnen damesteams uit heel Nederland zich inschrijven voor de Landelijke Opwarmdag Dames, met als doel korte 15-a-side wedstrijden te spelen tegen teams van hun eigen niveau.
De aanmelding voor de toernooien is inmiddels gesloten, maar toeschouwers zijn van harte welkom vanaf 10.30. Voor vragen, neem aub contact op met lustrum@rcwageningen.nl.
In the 2024-2025 season, Rugby Club Wageningen will celebrate its anniversary. The club will reach its 55th year and also celebrate the 50th anniversary of its women’s team (which at the time marked the beginning of women’s rugby in The Netherlands!). Therefore, this year we deviate from tradition by holding the Fialar tournament not on the last Sunday of August, but on the first Sunday of September, together with the National Women’s Warm-Up Day and a Girls Rugby Festival.
As usual, the 15-a-side Fialar tournament will be open to men’s teams from the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th divisions; for more information on this tournament, please click here. Simultaneously, women’s teams from all over the Netherlands can register for the National Women’s Warm-Up Day, with the aim of playing short 15-a-side matches against teams of their own level.
