Zaterdag 7 oktober organiseerde Rugby Club Wageningen een Bondsdag voor Benjamin-teams. We kregen bezoek van Den Haag, Breda en DIOK (elk twee teams) en Castricum; met de twee teams uit Wageningen bracht dat het totaal op 9 teams. Hoewel de dag wat grijs begon, brak de zon al snel door en was er mooi rugby te zien op de drie velden. De meeste gasten hadden hun beste (1e en 2e) Benjamin-teams meegebracht waardoor het niveau hoog lag. Ondanks het niveauverschil werd er met veel plezier en uiterst sportief gespeeld door alle Benjamins. Spelers en bezoekers prezen de ontspannen sfeer en waren zonder uitzondering jaloers op de mooie ligging van onze velden op de Zoom. Naast het veld werd de zelfgebakken koek en cake goed verkocht. Alle gasten, hulpouders en scheidsrechters van harte bedankt!
Saturday, October 7, Rugby Club Wageningen organized a Bondsdag for Benjamin teams. We received visitors from The Hague, Breda and DIOK (two teams each) and Castricum; with the two teams from Wageningen, this brought the total to 9 teams. Although the day started off a bit gray, the sun soon broke through and there was some beautiful rugby to be seen on the three fields. Most guests brought their best (1st and 2nd) Benjamin teams, which meant the level was high. Despite the difference in level, all Benjamins played with great pleasure and with great sportiness. Players and visitors praised the relaxed atmosphere and were without exception jealous of the beautiful location of our fields on the Zoom. Next to the field, the home-baked cookies and cakes sold well. Thank you very much to all guests, parent helpers and referees!
