De RCW Dames waren dankzij hun promotie naar de 2e klasse genomineerd voor de verkiezing van het Wageningse sportteam van het jaar 2022. De bekendmaking en uitreiking vond 30 januari plaats in het jaarlijkse Sportcafé, in sportcomplex het Binnenveld, en het team was bijna volledig aanwezig in het paarse tenue!
Helaas greep RCW net naast de prijs: die ging (verdiend) naar de Lichte Dubbel-2 van Argo. Maar nadat het Argo-bestuur hun clublied zong met de winnaars, wisten de RCW Dames de sfeerbokaal te winnen door het volledige clublied ten gehore te brengen voor het publiek, ondanks de protesten van de presentator. De club die het doet!
Thanks to their promotion to the 2nd division, the RCW Women were nominated for the election of the Wageningen sports team of the year 2022. The announcement and presentation took place on January 30 in the annual Sportcafé, in the Binnenveld sports complex, and the team was almost completely present in their purple gear!
Unfortunately, RCW just missed the prize: it went (deservedly) to the Light Double-2 of Argo. But after the Argo board sang their club song with the winners, the RCW Women managed to win the atmosphere cup by performing the full club song for the audience, in spite of the presenter’s protests. De club die het doet!
